Welcome to the blog! Dont fret the open road. It will soon be your best friend. "Should I give up or should I just keep chasing pavement?" Thats my new hymn song.

thanks! but i am a bit of a control freak and maybe that is why i like the treadmill so much....baby steps....

exactly! Stick to what does the job right? I almost got hit by a dang car this morning so the treadmill was very inviting when I got home. I can see you have some good friends on the blog to help you! Keep up the good work.

yeah it ended up the driver had his head down doing everything else but driving! And I heard from a couple of South Jordan runners that they actually fell. Not fun! So you live in Lehi? My cousins grew up there, one still lives there, his name is Lance Brown. His sister moved a while ago to Vernal but Lehi used to be a lot smaller than it is now. What are your up coming goals or events?

hummmm goals and events...i have a friend i run with and she wants to do a 10k in june up in bear lake then maybe the fun run in lehi at the end of june and after than who knows...i am really nervous to start running on the road, but kinda excited. so i guess after the first two races, if all goes well, i might add a few more in the summer and fall....we shall see...i hate to compete-even if it is just running with other people in a casual fun run or something-i would rather just run for my own personal best/goals (but i guess that is why i am running in the first place)can you tell i have never ran in a race before??? oh brother! from what i hear though they are addicting, so spring should be interesting-maybe a change in attitude is coming =)

The Bear lake 10k is fun. I did the Half marathon last year up there. Dont be nervous about the road. Always run against traffic so you can anticipate the bad drivers. (That builds confidence huh?) there are a series of fun runs that the SLC Track club throws every winter starting the last week of saturday. They are good for getting you tuned up. Yeah, as far as races are addicting, its more in the atmosphere of the whole running experiance. I feel like the atmosphere at the beginning of a half or full marathon is incredible! We would have World peace if everyone felt that way all the time. lol Keep up the good work!
